Bio
Dr. David Small is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at McMaster
University and a generalist Ob/Gyn at St. Joseph’s Hospital, with training in colposcopy, microsurgery, minimally invasive laparoscopy surgery and advanced hysteroscopy. He earned his medical degree from McMaster University in 1981 and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1986.
In addition to his practice, Dr. Small is committed to the education of health professionals at all levels. He is involved in the education of undergraduate and postgraduate students. He has held leadership positions including Residency Program director, Chief of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Joseph’s, and Chair of the Ontario Section of Obstetrics and Gynecology for ACOG.
